Volume

High volume at low to medium percentage (60-75% of 1RM ) is a great tool for building overall “fitness” in your lifts. Using this fitness as the weights build over time can help to achieve a higher peak later in your program. It will allow for more volume at higher percentages(75-85%) as the program progresses.

The more volume we can maintain for longer, the stronger we can get. The aim at the start is to use volume to build a foundation or “fitness” for which strength can be laid. After that, we look to build power on our brute strength.

Below is Kate who hasn’t cleaned over 50kgs in the last 3-4 weeks, her squats have been lower than what she would like but have had a solid amount of volume.

80kgs for a double with two front squats.
